“Prison Pups” Screening Thu. May 22nd

Filmmaker in Residence alumni Alice Bouvrie is holding a special screening of her film “Prison Pups” this Thursday at the Regent Theater in Arlington, MA. Prison Pups follows four inmates at Concord Farm, a minimum-security facility in Massachusetts, as they raise and train service dogs for the handicapped and hearing impaired. The film follows the inmates as they learn to take on the responsibility of a puppy and find in themselves not only a sense of confidence but also a capacity for nurturing and affection.

The screening is a fundraiser for A-dog, an advocacy group in support of dogs and their owners. Officials from the Masschusetts state correctional system will be in attendance to introduce the film and answer questions.

Check it out and support indie filmmaking!
